I am deeply honored to be part of such an inspiring network since joining the San Jose Ninja organization in fifth grade. This community exemplifies interconnectedness, heart, and passion, consistently offering love and unwavering support. I am so grateful for this organization, not only for basketball, but for fostering connections throughout the Asian American community. Through this experience, I have built lifelong relationships and have been fortunate to look up to not only seasoned athletes but to the community as a whole.
Thank you to all my coaches, past and present, for your absolute support and guidance. A huge thank you to Coach Kyle and Coach Ryan for taking on our team in ninth grade, and helping us develop into the players and people we are today. We appreciate all your time and dedication to creating such a memorable experience for us. From mini golfing in the pouring rain to the LA and Reno trips, it’s never a dull moment.
Through Ninjas I've got the honor of meeting all my teammates who are such amazing players, people and friends, and getting to play alongside and watch these individuals play has been so inspiring to me. It truly has been the most unforgettable, special experience on and off the court and to do it with my friends makes it all even sweeter. This ninja community is unlike any other and has truly exposed me to the power of friendships and memories vested beyond basketball.

Ever since I was young, I’ve always admired the Ninja organization from afar. I've admired its tight-knit community, their commitment to elevating and empowering young athletes, and of course, the people that comprise it from top to bottom.
Almost seven years later, I can confidently say that this organization and the experiences that have come with being apart of it have lived up to, if not surpassed, my expectations.
Thank you to the Ninja organization for giving me the opportunity to represent everything that they stand for. Coach Kyle and Coach Ryan, thank you for your unwavering support over the years. And finally, thank you to my teammates and parents who have made this journey as special as it has been. I’ll always be proud to call myself a Ninja and can’t wait to come back and visit.

From the countless nights we spent laughing together in hotel rooms to the hard fought wins and losses on the basketball court, I will forever be thankful for the time I got to spend with my amazing best friends and teammates. Although our journey as a Ninja team is quickly coming to an end, I will carry the past 8 years close to my heart and I know that our bond will never change regardless of any distance between us. Not only do I have immense gratitude to my teammates, but also Coach Kyle and Coach Ryan for always believing in every single one of us and pushing us to be the best and most competitive team possible. If it wasn’t for the both of them, I know I speak for the whole team when I say that the experience would not have been the same if it weren’t for them. Although we gave you both such a hard time I just want you to know that we truly have so much gratitude for all the sacrifices you have made being there for us every weekend and never doubting our abilities. Thank you to all of the parents that were always our loudest supporters and never missed a game. Having you all there to cheer us on everytime we stepped on the court means so much more than you could ever know. Ninja basketball hasn’t only brought out the best in me as a basketball player but also as a person as it helped me connect to so many of those around me in the asian community and taught me the importance of friendship and hard work. Being a part of this organization was one of the best blessings and I wouldn’t trade this experience for anything. I am so excited to see where the future takes us and I will never forget the remarkable feeling of being a Ninja.

I have had the honor to be a Ninja since the sixth grade, and I would not have traded this experience for anything. I am very grateful to the organization for welcoming me into the Ninja family and giving me such a great opportunity. I remember going to my very first practice, being so nervous and not really knowing anyone there. We all played beside each other in silence, being so scared to mess up. Now, our practices are filled with laughter, smiles, and jokes, never being able to stay serious for more than five minutes.
I will forever remember how it felt to play on the court with my team, run around hotels in LA and Reno, and grab team dinner after games. Over the years, we have grown so close to the point where I now call you girls my sisters. I would not want any other girls to have made these memories with, and I am so happy I got to with such an amazing and talented group.
I want to give a big thanks to Coach Kyle and Coach Ryan for putting up with us and dedicating so much time to this team. You guys have truly done so much for us, both improving us as players and people. You guys care for us like we are your own and show that we aren’t just basketball players to you. I am so grateful for you guys as well as the families that I gained along the way.
This organization will forever be a second family to me, and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to be a Ninja.

I have been playing basketball since kindergarten and have been part of the Ninja organization since 6th grade, and I can undoubtedly say that joining this team has been the best part of my basketball career. Thank you to this organization for giving me the once in a lifetime opportunity to play on this team and inviting me into a community where I could meet so many amazing people. I am beyond grateful for my teammates that I am now able to call my sisters, my coaches, and the families that have helped me become both a better player and person. This team provided me with a second family and my love for the game became greater every time I stepped on the court with my teammates. I will forever cherish the countless memories we have made together.
Coach Kyle and Coach Ryan, you guys have made this journey the best. Thank you for everything you have done for us, especially your dedication and for believing in us even when we doubted ourselves.
Through the laughs and tears, our love for each other and the game always prevailed, which made us resilient and strong. I can’t wait to see where life takes us and what we accomplish in the future! I will always be proud to call myself a Ninja.

I would like to thank my family and all the other parents who have helped me throughout my time as a Ninja. Without them, I would never have been able to go to practices, participate in exciting games, and travel to big tournaments. I am thankful for my coaches who gave me a chance to be a part of a great team. I am also thankful to the Ninja organization who allowed me to represent their team. Finally, I am thankful for my teammates. The bond and memories that we have created will always be remembered.

Being part of the San Jose Ninja has been more than just playing basketball — it has helped me grow. Through my time as a Ninja, I’ve learned the value of perseverance, teamwork, and the importance of lifting each other up, both on and off the court. The Ninjas have given me a support system that has shaped me into a stronger athlete and person. The coaches and girls on this team are some of the most welcoming and supportive people I’ve played with. Their dedication and love for the game pushed me to work hard and inspired me every day. Every challenge, every win, and every moment spent with my teammates has taught me that success isn’t just about winning, it’s about the bonds we form and the lessons we carry forward. Though my time with the Ninjas was short, it was incredibly meaningful, and I will always be grateful for gaining the spirit and experiences of being a Ninja.
